What is Bid for Kids? Bid for Kids combines an on-line auction and a fun live auction event, to raise money for the John Baldwin Cougar Education Fund (“CEF”). Parent volunteers work hard to solicit donations from families, friends and businesses. Additionally, teachers contribute their time and your children contribute their artistic talents towards auction items.
Where does the money go? The Cougar Education Fund manages all the money raised by Bid for Kids.  Funds are used to pay salaries for the Art Teacher, Music Teacher, Science Teacher, Computer Teacher, Classroom Aides, P.E. Assistant, Lunch Supervision and Rainbow Room.

These programs are not state funded and would not otherwise be available to our children.
What are the goals for Bid for Kids 2012? Our goal is to raise at least $130,000. We must meet this goal, or one or more of the valuable programs we support will be in jeopardy THIS YEAR.
How do I purchase tickets? We are going green this year and invitations will be emailed to each parent. Tickets will available for purchase online in February. Purchase tickets through the website, http://bidforkids.com. Click on the ‘Live Auction’ button for more information on how to purchase tickets.
How does the Live Auction work? Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres begin at 6:00pm at the Round Hill Country Club. Arrive early for the "Early Bird Special" (which includes two free drink tickets for each person who arrives before 6:30 p.m.). When you arrive at the venue, you will be given a bidding number and paddle. Guests will then be requested to be seated for the live auction. Immediately following the live auction, the games will open along with the food stations. Finally, the DJ starts the music for dancing until midnight.
How does the Online Auction work? Go to http://bidforkids.com, click on the 'Online Auction' button to access the online auction. Here you can view the many different items available to bid on. The online auction will open at 8:00 a.m. on March 14, 2012 and will close on March 23, 2012 at 10:00 p.m. The highest bid at the closing time is the winner! Items can be picked up at the school in the MPR on March 29th and 30th, 2012.
Do I have to be present when the raffles are drawn to win? No, you do not have to be present to win a raffle prize.
I missed out on some Parent Parties, are tickets still being sold? Yes! If a Parent Party did not sell out, tickets will be available for purchase at the live auction and afterwards until all tickets are sold. Don’t miss out on all of the fun!
What is Fund-A-Need? Each year the CEF selects a program which requires special attention and funding. This year, they chose to highlight our technology needs. You can help support our technology needs by donating in two ways (1) go to http://bidforkids.com and click on the ‘Fund-A-Need’ button; or (2) during the Fund-A-Need portion of the live auction event. Either way, we ask for donations in the increments of $50, $100, $250, $500, and $1,000.
What do I wear to the live auction event? Dress is "Date Night attire" (however you define it) so come in your best cruising wear, dance club get-up or costume. Round Hill Country Club does allow jeans at these types of events.
What type of activities will there be at the live auction event? There will be: Black Jack, Roulette, Craps, Double Shot Basketball, Ping Pong tables, Daytona Racing, Table Shuffle Board and Pin it to Win it.
